Wave Your Flag High

Still unable to get to the pool as I am still sporting a scabby knee. I think it might take another week or so before I can get to the pool but there is a bright side to that. I have been able to use the time to tweek my new web site and do a bit more updating on the computer. I am very able to get into the garden as long as I stay off my knee so the extra time is allowing me to do some clean up in there too.

Other than not being able to get to Aquafit things are looking up. Spring is bringing signs of life everywhere and that is always good fore the soul. Just now I had a small photo session with a jack rabbit in the garden before I chased him off. You will probably see the results of that one day soon.

Sadly, though, other than a few daffodils, and hyacinths there isn't a lot of color out there yet but the dominant shade of the day is green now with the grass growing wild from all the rain. It certainly beats the browns and dingy grays of a couple of weeks ago. There are sprouts on the trees and soon there will be no shortage of photos to be taken and I plan on taking them all. I think by next week I can get out in the car and go hunting for some cherry blossoms. So excited about that.

In the meantime, however, I am still in the need of being creative. I still have a few mandala's I need to upload but I got this great idea yesterday so the mandala's will wait a bit longer for when I am too busy out with the camera without time to process. They will come in very handy then.

The brainwave I am referring to is to do a series of national flags. So I now have 3 for a start. Yesterday afternoon I uploaded the American flag, Canadian flag and the British flag. Today I am hoping to make 2 or 3 more and maybe a couple more tomorrow. They are actually such fun to make and they make for some lovely prints or merchandise. The piece of merchandise I personally love them on is the change purses but as far as prints go the metal prints of these flags look spectacular. Sometimes simple is best, don't you think?

Now if you love love love them and absolutely have to have one with your country but I haven't created your flag you have two choices. One is that you can wait and hope I make one with your flag or you can send me a private message requesting the flag of your choice. If I were you I would choose the latter. If not requested I am only going to create flags for the countries I get the most visits from. So if you don't live in one of those countries then by all means request and I will be very quick in responding.

In the meantime I am going to start on a few more flags since the spring rains are here. I am not complaining though. The summers here can be drought-like so as much rain as we can get now, the better for us in the long run. I hope you are having a nice weekend wherever you are and if the sun is hard to find in your neighborhood too just remember "April showers bring May flowers."

All my best

Leslie :)
