Still Plugging Away

I have been trying to figure out the video creator with WIX but I get as far as their processing it all and I reach blank walls. It will take half a day telling me it will be ready in less than a minute. I just don't know what is up with that! I don't believe the problem is on my end. I have just updated all my hardware (That was pricey doing it all at once) and my internet connection has always been a fast one. I might scrimp on money for things like cable but never for internet. hahaha

So I think I will try again but this time I will take the time to learn the video creator in Photoshop. I probably should have done that in the first place. Oh well, life always throws us those learning curves.

In the meanwhile I am plugging through winter. Haven't been out with my camera at all. I am just not loving the cold weather. Seems to be less and less enjoyable with each passing year. I used to be a real winter person. I guess that is another sign of getting older. hahaha.

I haven't even been to the butterfly conservatory and doubt I will this year. Last year when I went I caught a nasty cold from a group of school kids. I am so paranoid about the COVID virus because if I can catch a cold easily I would be a prime target for that virus. I don't even go to Walmart anymore. Our Walmart has a clinic attached to it which is overflowing with sick people. I hear there is a 2 hour wait at the best of times so people wander through the store coughing and sneezing and touching things. I have caught many a virus from that store in the winter months too. It's where the bulk of tourists go if they have the sniffles.

I know... paranoid or what? I also have a few masks tucked away for us if needed and I keep a close watch on the numbers in Ontario here, which at this moment have gone right down. I just don't think it will last though. On the up side - Bob got his first flue shot ever this weekend. I have finally convinced him that the normal flue is just too dangerous for us as we get older. He has always said it never helps anyone he has seen but that isn't true. Since I have been getting the shot I might catch the virus occasionally but it is not nearly as severe as it once was. That speaks volumes for me and apparently him too. On Saturday he said he would get the shot for the first time so I wasted no time and ran out the the Rexall pharmacist down the road to administer the shot before he could change his mind. Now I feel a bit safer about that. It will take a couple of weeks before the shot is really protecting him but it is better than not having it at all. From now on he will go with me in the fall season and get it. Now I have to work on him about the shingles vaccine. hahaha

I have, however, been getting lots of work done. Mostly photographs from our Christmas holiday in Virginia Beach. Some of the images I have peppered through this post.

I have so many photos from that trip that they will probably last me till the spring when there is lots of reason to head out with the camera again.

I am also keeping myself busy with a little home improvement project. I am painting the kitchen. We painted it a couple of years ago but I have no idea what we were thinking at the time. It is a very bold and shocking shade of blue. I am a colorful person but enough already! I have lived with it for 2 years but will not live with it any longer. I am muting that to a much more comfortable shade of blue. Right now I have the kitchen covered in primer. It needs that when you are going from a bold color to a lighter one. Something to remember next time I decide to get daring. hahaha

Today I will be adding some color to those walls. It muted tones of a slate blue. More of a pastel I think. What a relief that will be to not look at those crazy blue walls anymore!

So I will take my leave with one more image from my Christmas photos I have uploaded to both Pixels and Redbubble. With the pictures here I have shared the link to Pixels but if you want to see some products do check out my Redbubble shop.

All my best

Leslie :)
